Students at Maple Grove are learning and having fun with
LEGO!
We love to try new things at Maple Grove Elementary. This year, we introduced Robotics to some of our
students. What a great idea!
We purchased the LEGO WeDo Robotics kits. Unsure of how to start using these kits in
the school, we decided to start by building our Robotics expertise with a
Robotics Club!
Our first training session took place at the new Innovation
Centre located at PEC with Sophie Lussier.
What a treat for the kids to leave the school for an afternoon with 2
teachers to get trained on a new initiative!
The students were engaged and loved every second of it! And better yet, they were learning about
Robotics alongside their teachers.
Our Robotics Club is now comprised with 11 robotics experts
that will be able to share their experience with Kindergarten students. Now that we are all comfortable playing with
the Robotics kits, our next step is to discuss how we should present this to
the Kindergarten students… that’s right, we are going to create a learning
situation with our Robotics experts! I
can’t wait! This is too much fun!
